Course Overview

Training and Development is crucially important to the success of an organization at all levels. It can and should be a powerful, positive process that helps individuals, groups and the whole organization. Yet Training Needs Analysis (TNA) can be construed as expensive, or misunderstood, and not planned in a wider context of change and growth. It is necessary to recognize the value of properly implemented TNA in order to provide appropriate, cost-effective training that develops and motivates staff..

Course Objectives

This intensive, hands-on, workshop, delegates will explore how to accurately identify the training and development needs of three elements: the organization, the occupational groups within it and the individuals working there. They will look at each of the three in turn and work through approaches that are common to all, or unique to one.

Course Methodology

The training is going to be a highly interactive combination of lectures, group discussions, questionnaires, individual reflections, role plays, simulations and videos.

Target Audience

All managers or supervisors, whether in an HR or line management role, who want an understanding of the purpose and principles of Training Needs Analysis that will form the basis of an ongoing development, process for their staff.
